COME ON and BON APPETITE...
I bet reading the title already got your stomach rumbling!
But how nice would it be to cook your favorite food on an idyllic kitchen surface? FANTASTIC! Especially if you didn’t have to think that by using a sharp knife, you could damage the surface, not caring that you would stain it with the materials you would use and needing to sand your counter right away so it wouldn’t leave a permanent stain, or even , if you weren’t supposed to think that touching the hot pot with the food on it would leave marks.

That would be nice! That you could let your inspiration for cooking, free, without having to think about any of the above.
The worktop is an essential part of any kitchen and can play an important role in the construction or overall aesthetic of a room. The tiled worktop has made a comeback since the 80s and now, more than ever, is the best time to consider choosing a tiled worktop.
This comeback, like all new trends in the world, has some variations. Forget small square tiles separated by thick lines! Focus on large ceramic tiles that look like marble, cement, metal, wood, or any other natural material your mind can think of.

Important to know, is that they are a safe and healthy choice for food preparation since they are non-porous, compared to other materials on the market for kitchen surfaces. The ceramic plate is an extremely hard surface, which is not prone to etching, staining, heat and other damages that can be caused by the daily use of our kitchen, as would happen with a material such as marble or Corian.

The durability of ceramic tile exceeds that of granite by 30% and while no surface is 100% stain resistant, ceramic comes very close. The advantage of installing ceramic tile for your kitchen is that compared to marble and granite, it is much more economical.

Today we are seeing more and more, full islands, which use ceramic slabs on all sides, creating an almost monolithic accent, as well as the use of large-sized pieces for dining. How the hardware is built into a countertop or dining table with a specific finish and detail can dramatically affect your kitchen.
Many decorators also create integrated sinks in the kitchens, thus giving a unique style to the space.

The popularity of ceramic tiles for kitchen and dining counters has increased drastically in recent years and they have captured a very large share of the market. Several well-known decorators around the world argue that ceramic tile is more than just a passing trend. It adds value to interior design and is here to stay!
So, what do you say? Still thinking about it? I have already smelled the food prepared with so much inspiration, on this wonderful ceramic slab counter….
Come on and Bon Appétit…
