Movement of FREEDOM!
What a beautiful feeling! What joy, vivacity, and tranquility does one experience in their soul and body when they live in freedom?
How fortunate are those who have the freedom to express themselves, to walk, to run, to help, to see, to participate, to live FREELY!
In the year 2023, things are becoming easier for all those who face difficulties in doing simple, everyday activities freely and without any help.

Ponte Giulio, the leading company in the disability sector, has thought of everything to provide the best solutions for accessible bathrooms for people with disabilities. Making a bathroom accessible is a smart move, whether you need it today or want to ensure that your home remains your space of freedom as you age.

For people who use a wheelchair, walker, have reduced vision, or have difficulty using their hands, using a regular shower is not so easy.
Ensuring we have an accessible shower that is functional and safe for people with mobility difficulties certainly provides a great assurance that we can host someone in our home who faces physical difficulties. This person could be an elderly relative, someone from our family, or even ourselves.
It is wise for all of us to transform our bathroom into a safe and accessible space for people with mobility difficulties, even if we don’t need it now. It is certainly an investment for a safer living space in the future.

Be sure that a bathroom space based on the standards and procedures for people with disabilities has absolutely nothing to envy from any other bathroom space. The lines of products are now modern and functional, based on the latest market trends, which might even raise the level of your space with the comfort they provide.
Such a space could easily be created, if we wish it. Our needs and the available space are the main criteria to decide how we will transform our space.
Of course, the surface of the floor in our space should be matte and not slippery, anti-slip, and the size of the tile should be as small as possible to easily give the necessary slopes.
If we have the opportunity not to put a door on the shower, it would be ideal for people in wheelchairs. A stable glass with a thickness of 10mm, which is quite thick, would be ideal. What we aim for is to create the easiest access to empower the person using the shower.
Grab bars or support bars are also necessary and very helpful. They can be placed inside the shower and outside it.
The bathroom phone should be at such a height that the person can easily use it and perhaps if accompanied by the high quality that Ponte Guilio bars have, depending on the material and size, they can support people from 50 – 150 kg.
Regarding the seats, there are two options. The folding seat, which is attached to the shower wall and can be opened when we want to use it, and the movable seat, which is like a small chair. We usually place it outside the shower and put it in the shower when we need it.

All of the above products provide a movement of FREEDOM to people with disabilities who want to rely more on themselves.
We can also offer these people the movement of FREEDOM they need, starting to make it a habit to create bathrooms for people with disabilities in our homes.
A grandfather, a grandmother, a friend may have the desire to visit us sometime. Let’s not deny them this right, because our house has only stairs, because our toilet cannot serve them, or because our bathroom does not meet the specifications for people with disabilities.
Let’s love these people and ourselves more!
